What is there to say about this girl.  She is an amazing talent.  We love her over here at crabzinabarrel.  Back in Feburary we posted a cover she did to Passion Pit’s “Sleepy Head” which was pure genius.  Here is her latest video on youtube which is once again excellent.  She does a quick medley of songs you will recognize mixed with some of her own original music.  Speaking of original music.  She isn’t just a cover artist.  Check out the link to her myspace page at the bottom for some of her most recent work.   You will definitely like what you hear.   You can also follow her on twitter, http://www.twitter.com/kenziemayb.  And as always, crabzinabarrel will continue to keep you posted on any new music from this UK songstress.   Someone sign this girl ASAP!

Wassup crabzinabarrel.com world!!!! It’s your girl ReneeWoods and the crabzinabarrel.com family went to the New Voices Tour DC semifinals on Saturday, July 17, 2010 . Throughout the week we will be posting videos of  the performances and today we are going to post videos of King Baker aka King Swagg (@KingSwaggdc) and Midwest Fendi (@MidwestFendi). Now first off let me say that I saw King Swagg perform at a Howard University talent show a while back and let me just say this dude has a great stage presence. He got out there on Saturday and had the crowd screaming Who Am I? s**t the f**k is you?? and to be honest I woke up on Sunday morning with that one line still stuck in my head. So please peep the video of King Swagg’s performance above.

Then later on in the show emcee/writer/poet/artist/young media professional Midwest Fendi did a heartfelt poem that a lot of people in the crowd were feeling so please peep the video of her performance below.  I would like to give a special shoutout to Byrd (@igotit4free) for showing crabzinabarrel.com love on Saturday.
