So last night I went to meet my mother for dinner at Union Station and I stumbled upon the Red Bull Art of Can display. It showcased some beautiful art from artists that used Red Bull cans. Who ever is the head of marketing at Red Bull needs a bonus! They are always coming up with new ways to market their product this time through great art. There were about 200 entries and the best 56 were picked to be on display at Union Station, in Washington, DC. All I had was my crappy camera phone, so please excuse the low budgetness of the pictures, they are all better in person, I promise! You can catch metal masterpieces on display at Union Station, but only until October 19th so get there soon!
Jared Evan Has The Radio In His Head For Sure………….
Here is something different for all of you music fans. I was doing my daily blogging and came across a mixtape entitled Radio In My Head by Jared Evan. He’s some fresh new talent that everyone needs to get with. He combines singing with rapping. Just think of Justin Timberlake rapping and singing a tune. In Your Closet: Kerry’s Style

Acttress, humanitarian and political activist Kerry Washington epitomizes sophisticated style. She is eternally elegant and well dressed. Never half stepping when she steps out of the house or on the red carpet. Kerry isn’t afraid of color and while yellow doesn’t work for everyone it works well for her complexion and style.
Jewel tones also are rich on Kerry. Black people need not be afraid of color!! We look great in jewel tones like sapphire and emerald green. (Oh BTW purple is HUGE for the fall!) She knows that we can look spectacular in colors other than black, white and gray.
The steps to achieving Kerry’s look are minimal and few. Kerry always has a fresh look. Never too much make-up. She either plays up her eyes or her lips never both. Remember less is more when it comes to fashion especially with make-up.
Even in simple skirt and jacket look Kerry looks relaxed, confident and in control. Kerry’s number one rule of fashion appears to be simple and chic and I am with her 100%. You can show stop with the basics. Look at Kerry she does it all the time!
Messiah Shows His Swag

Messiah is known on the DMV scene for having performed at nearly every venue and open mic in the area. Nationally he is known for his appearance on Apollo where he was a 3-time consecutive winner.
With his drive and dedication to the spoken word art form, look for big things for this cat in the future. The latest project from Messiah, “The Manual”, was released this week and is available for purchase at allmessiah.com. Also check out his MySpace at myspace.com/gottawrite.

I don’t know about the rest of yall but after this work week I am beginning to think we should have a two day work week and a five day weekend. Well anyways I didn’t come on crabzinabarrel.com to write about how wwwwwaaaaccckkk a five day workweek is but I did come on here to tell everyone about the Beat Ya Feet King’s performance at the “Show-Off Your Swag” Talent Competition. Hmmm??? There’s been much debate on exactly what we are looking at. Do you see that dent across the left side of her butt??? I think that her leggings are falling, kinda of like when a little girl puts on tights that are too little for her and they don’t go up all the way. Other people think her panties are falling and yet other people think it’s a girdle of some sort. What do yall think..are they leggings, panties or a gridle? You be the judge!
No matter what it is, it’s all sort of a mess! Who let their mama come out of the house like this anyway? Aside from the falling leggings/panties/girdle there are white Croc’s and socks, pink leggings and diagonal stripes…. It kinda makes me think about a jumbo candy cane. It’s just a mess all the way around! Whatever you do not let anyone leaving the house like this!

JFK been doing his thing for awhile now. He’s from VA and he did his thing on his new mixtape Just For Kicks. I didn’t know he rapped I thought he was just a producer. I can honestly say that this mixtape gets my stamp of approval. The DMV has been dropping some real good music lately.
